Fate of Fortune

Fate of Fortune is the title of the 6th CD from Mountain Castle Band in our Vintage America Music Series. As with our previous CD’s, all the songs are original compositions written and arranged by Mikio Sankey. Again. the compositions are presented in our style of Vintage American Music without concern of being confined to writing songs for a particular genre, or for a certain listening audience. I want to present songs that carry a more positive message and vibe, while also leaving enough space for each of the musicians to be creative and to be able to weave their own inspirational expressions into the songs. In this manner, all the musicians will leave their personal imprints within each song. I am not concerned with the lengths of the songs. The length of each song is predicated upon— when the message is finished, the song is done. The same musicians and singers were used on this CD as in the Pillow In The Sky CD, with the addition of Ronnie Ciago on drums and percussions, thus allowing more continuity on this CD with the previous CD. I also wanted to feature Gretje Angell more on vocals along with Chris Wonzer on lead vocals.
